So, Patrick did OK on the first leg of the trip. He didn't nap before the first leg, so we thought he would go right to sleep. Nope. He wanted to touch everything, get down, etc... He finally fell asleep just as we entered a holding pattern over Denver. So he slept for about 20 minutes. When we got to Denver, we ate a quick dinner and let Patrick run all around. He really enjoyed the people movers. He would run as fast as he could and laugh! It was funny. We got on the plane headed to Anchorage and the boy would not sleep. Fought us, kicking and screaming. He finally fell asleep about an 1 1/2 into the flight. I think all the people around us were relieved. He slept for about 1 1/2 hours. Then he did pretty well the rest of the flight. His ears were hurting on the way down, but we couldn't get him to eat, drink, or suck on his pacifier. Stephanie and Jamiee picked us up at the airport in Anchorage. We went straight to the hotel and crashed. The next morning we are breakfast and started the drive to Fairbanks. We saw a moose pretty early into the drive. We stopped and let Paddy put his feet in a river/stream? made of glacier water. It was ICE cold!
It is so different being here. The sun never really goes down this time of the year, so anytime after 10:00 pm, it just looks like sunset for the rest of the night. And it is beautiful! We are enjoying our trip so far.
PS. We forgot our camera! I know, can you believe it?? We are taking pictures but since it is not our camera, we are not uploading daily. So after we get home, I will post a slide show or something so you can see all the pictures. I am uploading a couple to Facebook every so often, so you can check those out in the meantime, if you are my friend that is! ;)

Glad you guys are having fun. Owen asked several times if he could go to AK, too...ever since I told him that Paddy went up there to play with Jacob, Toby, Sarah and Jamiee! :)
